Unafraid by Cat Miller

Published September 28, 2012 by Ema Volf

I am a huge fan of the Forbidden Bond Series, so I’ve been anxiously awaiting this release! I have to say that I was definitely not disappointed! This novella is the perfect prequel to Unbound and Unforgiven! It tells the story of Dani’s parents, Tessa and Griffin.

What I loved most about this story is the fact that we got to see a side of a few of the characters that we have never seen before in Unbound and Unafraid. It’s refreshing to get to know them a little better and see the other sides to their personalities. For me, it explained more of the other two books and really tied them all together. It helped me understand why they are the way they are and why they act the way they act.

I really loved this book. As usual, Cat created a fascinating world with fascinating characters, and showed me their past in a way that made me fall in love with them all over again.

Being a silly fangirl!

This totally made my day! I had a little fangirl squee moment! And I don’t care who knows it! 😉

I must say, Jay is one of the coolest authors I’ve met over the last few months! His books are amazing and he’s always got an amazing, upbeat attitude that is infectious! He’s also British! I could listen to him talk all day! LOL!

You guys really should check him out, if you haven’t already! You won’t be disappointed!

Goblin Spells Unicorns

Published September 26, 2012 by Ema Volf

Today I read Goblin Spells Unicorns by Christina Worrell

This book is about Grub and Ditto, two little goblins. They were doing chores while their Master was away gathering spell ingredients. While they were scrubbing the spell wall, they noticed a spell had been left unfinished. Afraid they would get in trouble, they decided to try to fix it without telling their Master about it, even though he had told them to do nothing but their chores. Naturally, their plan backfired.

It’s safe to say that this is the cutest children’s book with life lessons that I’ve come across in a while! And in only 8 pages, it covers so many!

I also read this to my son, who also loved it, because instead of the typical bears, puppies, and kittens, it had goblins, wizards, and unicorns! He loves the extra magical spin!

Thank you, Christina Worrell for writing such an awesome children’s book! My son has a new bedtime favorite!
